McAfee has made a declaration that McAfee Enterprise Mobility Management (McAfee EMM software) is now fully incorporated with the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee ePO) platform.
Comprehensive security, policy and management capabilities are now extended to mobile devices with McAfee EMM software.
McAfee ePO software also allows enterprises to guard their data on company-issued and employee-owned devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers) through a single, unified infrastructure and console.
Ari Jaaksi, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Engineering Operations at McAfee said that businesses were leveraging mobile technologies to deliver a competitive edge, yet many organizations managed these devices separately from their core infrastructure. Every device that’s connected to the Internet or that had access to an organization’s network or database needed to be secured and managed. McAfee was making it easier for IT departments to see and manage their mobile footprint along with the rest of their infrastructure.
McAfee Secure container for Android and McAfee VirusScan Mobile for Android software is included in the McAfee EMM software.
This software provides mobile security for devices, data and applications as well as mobile management.
Hosting and distribution of corporate apps and public apps for iOS and Android, including support for Apple’s Volume Purchase Program is also supported by the McAfee EMM software.
The EMM software is now an integral part of the new McAfee Complete Endpoint Protection suites.
